This Maine Coon type boy is still settling in but he’s very sweet and ready to upgrade from life on the streets. We’re guessing he’s around 1-2 years old but we’ll see what the vet says. He’ll be even more beautiful when he’s getting the care he deserves. Archie would do best in a home with no other dogs or cats. He does not like dogs and for fear he might not like other cats we are asking that he be the only animal in the home.
Archie is FIV positive. FIV is no longer the death sentence it once was for cats. FIV positive cats were once considered un-adoptable and euthanized in many shelters. New research has shown that FIV-positive cats are in fact very adoptable and can live the same lifespan as an FIV-negative cat. Research has also disproved the myth that FIV- positive cats cannot safely live with non- infected cats.
