This sweet girl is another one of our used up disposable puppy mill mamas. Commercially produced puppies mean the mamas spend their lifetime as institutionalized puppy producers without the attention, veterinary care, exercise or enrichment they deserve. This group is thankfully in better shape than some of our past puppy mill rescues.
This absolute sweetheart of a 6 year old standard poodle was known as #1852 for her entire life. She’s surprisingly social, affectionate and friendly for a puppy mill mama, especially one who was never even given a name. We wonder if she was born elsewhere and socialized, or if the kids played with her or if she’s just so exceptionally sweet tempered as to overcome her puppy mill life.
Betsy is at the vet for the works today. She has some great applications already from our other recent standards, although we will consider backup apps if those aren’t a match.
