Our organization does not use a shelter facility for the animals in our care. After intake and medical triage, the dogs and cats of Dogwood are temporarily homed with our volunteers. This allows them to transition from their rescue situations and learn the basic skills to be part of an adoptive family. This is where the most help is needed – volunteers willing to share their homes, their time and guidance – fostering dogs and cats in need.
