Welcome Shadow 
Here's what the veterinarian who is fostering says: "Ok - here's shadow. 11yo male labrador. We saw him back in December through the Dogwood appointment to start treatment for age related arthritis.
His caretaker died suddenly - reportedly murdered; Shadow was with him alone for 3 days before Dogwood volunteers got involved . Now that I have him in front of me I have a longer list for vet care which we'll address next week (severe ear infection, rotten molar, needs a neuter). I'm going to start him on a new monoclonal antibody arthritis treatment (librela) and see if that improves his mobility.
He's a jaunty friendly guy - sweet with our house chihuahuas and nosy cats. Hasn't yet met goats and chickens. He has a tough time with non-carpeted floors - once he's up and going outside he happily enjoys a senior paced stroll. He has a typical lab appetite so very easy to medicate."
We're looking forward to getting this guy all fixed up and finding him a loving new home.
