Maremma Sheepdog - Adult - Male
Adoptable Large Neutered/SpayedRoutine shots are current

Jack has been our challenging placement. He’s super fun and easy, except when he’s not. He’s really come around, greeting visitors sweetly and playing beautifully with other dogs. He’s a Maremma Sheepdog (flock guardian) type mix, but more the size and build of a golden retriever. He’s young, around a year old, crate trained and good in the car. He’s very affectionate and happy and loves dogs. He’s a handful in the house, as many of his breed are, and can be a resource guarder. He tried a stint as a flock guardian but wanted to be with people more than livestock.

Jack is an absolute delight in his foster home where he plays with other young frisky dogs outdoors all day, then comes inside for meals and bedtime in his crate. He’s fabulous with dogs and loves to play. Jack is curious with cats and might chase if they ran but could live with a savvy cat.

Jack will thrive in a home where he has other dogs to play with, or where he has an adopter who can keep him active and be diligent in his training.
