Adoptable Small Neutered/SpayedRoutine shots are current

He’s really very sweet but always looks a bit grumpy in photos. We know some people like that too ♥

This handsome hunk of a boy was recently rescued from a truck stop in Lodi by some of our volunteers. He and another super sweet black kitty girl were begging outside the door and were part of a group of 15 or so that we’re told were abandoned there. Our volunteers brought in Jace and Jayde and we’re trying to find someone in the Lodi area to help trap and spay/neuter the remaining kitties. Jace and Jayde were treated for fleas, wormed and vaccinated on intake, then off to the vet for check-ups, neuter, rabies vaccines, combo testing, and microchips.

Unfortunately, like a lot of intact males, Jace is FIV positive. Jayde tested negative. Many cats can live long healthy lives with FIV and can even live with other cats that do not have the infection as long as they get along. FIV is spread by deep bite wounds and breeding so altered cats that live peacefully are considered safe. Please read the link for more info, and consider adopting a special needs guy like Jace. He and his companion Jayde would make a fabulous pair as they get along great.

Making a difference, one animal at a time.
