Fiona, a little 10 yo deaf Jack Russell mix, is settling into her new foster home. She’s learning that lifting her lip to resident dogs isn’t ok. She’s learning that snuggles are nice. She’s learning that a hand coming toward her is a good thing. In other words, she’s slow to trust. She does not like the crate but will go in with some bribery. She is house trained and asks to go out. She likes to play for short spurts. She will do best in a quiet home with someone who is not gone for long periods of time, as she seems anxious when left alone. She’s good on leash and likes to go for walks. She’s not a huge fan of strangers. She will be protective of her person if she’s not told its ok and redirected.

Fiona is about 14lbs, around ten years old, and deaf. She would love a home that understands grumpy little old terrier types and can give her a happy retirement.

Making a difference, one animal at a time.
