Sweet Annie is a very special dog and will be an incredible companion to someone. Dogwood rescued her from a shelter where she had been picked up as a stray, so unfortunately we don’t know anything about her past. She’s mixed breed, we think around 6-7 years old, about 20 pounds (she needs to lose a couple), and is an absolute pleasure to have in her foster home.
Annie is a very gentle and affectionate dog. She is still pretty timid, but gaining confidence every day. She loves ear scritches, galloping around the yard (always coming back to check in with her foster person), galloping off again, then rocketing back to her safe and comfy home base on the couch. Her spot on the couch is very, very important to her. She has visited other houses and sits quietly and politely right next to her foster person. She does not react to m cats and watches them quietly. She walks well on a leash. She sleeps peacefully in her crate through the night, has not barked once in her foster home, and has not had any accidents in the house. Annie will be a wonderful family member to anyone who is lucky enough to take her home.
