It has been about 4 weeks since Amanda came to us, terrified and infested with mange, fleas, ticks, and worms. While she may always be cautious with strangers, she is learning to trust and bond with people. Overall she is a making beautiful recovery from neglect and life on the streets.

Our amazing foster homes give dogs like Amanda the love, patience and social skills they will need to overcome their rough pasts and make wonderful companions.

Amanda has been actively seeking attention and giving reciprocal “flea biteys”, a social grooming activity. This is huge as it shows that she wants a relationship with people. Her physical healing has been fabulous and now her emotional healing is making beautiful progress. She will make a wonderful companion in the right home.

Amanda will need a patient family where she will be able to learn to trust and bond in her own time.

Making a difference, one animal at a time.
